A good year for Enoitalia

4 February 2021

Despite the impact of Covid-19, the wine company of Calmasino closed positively with a turnover of 201 million euros and is one of the top 10 wine companies in Italy.

The Tre Bicchieri survey on Italy’s 15 top wine companies places Enoitalia in sixth place in the ranking for turnover.
2020 was a challenging but undoubtedly very stimulating year for us – just think of the new Prosecco DOC Rosé, the increase in sales of historic brands in the USA. The President Giorgio Pizzolo also confirms this, adding that “we have managed to consolidate growth thanks to the diversification of the product portfolio and of the markets and distribution channels”.

With the contraction of the on-trade channel, Enoitalia had to monitor consumption and shift its efforts towards off trade, private label and online. And it is precisely to expand the distribution of some brands also in Italy that the company has launched Enowinery, the ecommerce that offers consumers a selection of Italian wines at competitive prices. Digital is certainly a trend to follow for 2021 as well: “There has been an increase in online and we won’t go back,” said the President.
